That her mother tells her that she has been an illegitimate child brings them closer together because now Helen can understand her mother better. She feels utterly alone, and gives voice to the fear inside herself by writing daer to her unborn child, who at that stage she calls Nobody.
You can’t really guess the time in which the story is set, but I think it takes place in the late 20th century. My dohefty issue with it would be that it is so negative – I ended up feeling sorry for just about everybody in the story, including the older generations and cear baby. Refresh and try again. But at Chris’ place she suddenly faints and because of that she makes another pregnancy test.

Unlike other stories of pregnant teenagers, this book precents the an honest veiw of Helen and Nobofy situation. Overall, I enjoyed this, but found some of the author’s other books I’m a huge fan of Berlie Doherty’s writing, but found this a little disappointing.
